..If it is intarsia..You will need to put the yarns you will be using on 2 little bobbins. ..The main thing when doing intarsia is to make sure that you weave the yarns around each other so as not to create a gap between the main color and the secondary color.

Found a great video by Vickie Howell where she talks about changing colors during Illusion knitting (what you call Shadow knitting). It’s from her old show on DIY Network that was called Knitty Gritty. I loved that show and was really sad when they took it off the air. Learned so much from her.

Hi Deb — This is my first look at Naughty Knitterz (in response to a tweet to join) and I love, love, love your site! So many things going on and to choose from. I feel like a kid in the corner candy store. Speaking of which…what part of Brooklyn are you in? I grew up in East Flatbush and am now in Knoxville, TN, a beautiful part of the country which has become home. But I still miss Brooklyn. Anyway, your article on why you knit was the first thing I read. Way to make a good first impression! LOL!! Am looking forward to finding more great stuff.

If you look at the yarn label it will have a recommended needle size look for an icon of two crossed knitting needles with a number under it . Stay away from anything smaller than US size 8 needles 5mm if you dont want it to take you forever to knit.
