I can&#039;t speak for all manufacturers but I know that bamboo for yarn is mostly grown on plantations specificaly for the purpose of manufacturing yarns. It is not harvested in the wild where it would be taken from pandas :o) The plants are usually not harvested all and they are cut just above the ground and the plants are regrown again.
